Educ outdances competition

College of Teacher Education (COTED) bested other groups in the dance fete dubbed as “Umindak Pinoy” held August 14 at the SHC Rendu Cultural Center and Gymnasium.

COTED dancers wore festive masks on their face and multi-colored wing-like clothing. Notable highlights of their dance were two dancers who performed aerial stunts. Mr. Eduard Mancilla, COTED faculty member, joined them in their performance.

College of Nursing came in second while College of Business Administration placed third in the dance competition. College of Accountancy, Liberal Arts, Pharmacy, Psychology, and Social Work also participated in the contest.

Organized by the SEC officers, Mrs. Jennifer Baldovino, and Mr. Mancilla, the dance fest brought together Cordian students and faculty in a friendly competition.

Each college’s dance crew was required to have a faculty member in their group to dance with them. The board of judges was composed of Mr. Jelf Vhon I. Laborte, Ms. Rouselle May A. Regio, and Mrs. Mylen S. Han. Mr. Marlon Rosales and Miss Raygine Jacobs emceed the event.
