Intramurals 2014: Flags, torch, and sports pageant

August 13, 2014 – The formal opening of this year’s Intramurals started off with the raising of flags by different college departments, followed by lighting of the torch represented by the different deans of the Colleges held at the SHC Gymnasium. This is followed by the search for Mr. and Ms. Intramuralsrallying with the theme ”Patuloy na Pagbabalik tanaw sa Kulturang Pilipino Pagpapatibay sa Pagiging Tatak Kordeano- Vincentiano.”

The program began with a parade of contestants in their Sports wear, followed by the talent competition, and ended with the question and answer portion.

Winners of the pageant were Mr. Conrado Castro and Ms. Angelika Asley Catagan, both from the College of Teacher Education department. Both were also awarded “Best production number” and “Best Sports wear”. Mary Grace Garcia and Rey Angelo Laborte of the Business Administration department reaped the first-runner up award, while Joy Camille Faller from the Accountancy department and Earl Gicana from the Liberal Arts department served as the third-runners-up. Angelika Asley Catagan and Earl Gicana shared the award for the “Best in Q and A”. The “Most Photogenic” was Joy Camille Fuller and Earl Gicana.

Han, Florence Bautista, and Agatha Brenica Ilagan, served as guest judges in the said competition. Mrs. Jennifer Baldovino chaired the event.
